Book Review-You can submit your book to me through e-mail for an honest review. Please query first as I mostly review romance, fantasy, mystery, and non-fiction. I post reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and on the blog attached to this site. I can also send reviews on The Romance Review for romance novels or novels with romantic elements.
Editing Advice-If you have a quick editing question you can dm me over Twitter, and I will be happy to address it. If your issue is too long for Twitter it's not a quick question.
Top Five Writing Tics-If you send your book to me for review I will, on request, generate a list of your top five writing tics. Everyone has these. My own list is: It is...that, allows, this, commas, and the passive voice. My list reminds me of what to watch out for in my writing, and how to avoid my personal pitfalls. Everyone has writing quirks. Since they are personal, they become ingrained in the way we write, and we don't notice them. This is why a list provided by an objective outsider can be helpful. If you want such a list please mention it when you submit your book for review.
Peer Review-I am happy to act as a peer reviewer for journals within my area of expertise. These are: Women's theory, Shakespeare, Female Renaissance Playwrights, Digital Humanities (Topic Modelling, Predigital), and the British Renaissance. Also, if you are a graduate student working in these areas I may be interested in exchanging papers for editing. Feel free to query me if you feel our research areas overlap.
